The "TI-83 Premium CE Edition Python" just came out, and here is what we know from the units we've seen so far (datecode L-0419M):

Software:

  • OS 5.3.6.0018 (download here) - Update: OS 5.4 has since been released with the Python app (June 27th)
  • Boot 5.3.6.0017

Hardware:

  • PCB label: SG95/F/T-10-2(2L)
  • ASIC: JB-007-01 S7TM2-010
  • Flash: Winbond W25Q32JVS1Q - Serial NOR ; datasheet
  • ARM Coproc (for Python): Atmel SAMD21 E18A-U (Cortex-M0+, 48 MHz, 256 KB flash) ; datasheet

PCB photo available here and interactive comparison with slider thingy over the rev L 83PCE.

To split:

  • HW rev. M stuff (new flash) -> can be merged at any time, will probably just be a "minor" feature part of the 2.0 release.
  • Python stuff (ARM coproc) -> specific branch to be merged for a dedicated release :)
