Create is not currently compatible with optifine, please use alternatives like rubidium. Thanks!

Is there any particular reason this has changed, or is this unintended? I haven't played with create for awhile but I do remember running both with no problems maybe around 1.16.5.

since optifine is closed source, we have no idea. we can only observe that it breaks a lot of mods

This is the response from the Optifine group to the same issue on their github. It would be nice to create a dialog toward a resolution.

Unfortunately, compatibility with optifine is too much work because of the closed source nature of optifine
