Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
A clear and concise description of what the problem is.
I'm frustrated when my notifications timeline does not remain at the post I last viewed when I come back after leaving the app. If I look frequently that might not be a problem, as I see unread posts are a different colour, but after a longer period, like overnight, it's a very long way to scroll back.

Please keep my place at my last viewed post when I return to the app.

Not sure if this is what I put here, but Fedilab has this feature.
