It can be difficult to identify the selected input/output node (markup/plane/etc.) using only the node name.

To provide users with more information, it would be useful to provide some more information about the node (Visibility/Color/etc.), as well as providing some additional functionality (such as the ability to place markup points).

We should also look into highlighting nodes in the views when they are hovered over in the node selector.
