Take a very long time to open terminal after install rit

What happened:
when metrics is enable and we don't have internet connection is very slow to open the terminal after installing rit.

What you expected to happen:
i expected to use my terminal fast when i don't have internet connection

How to reproduce it (as minimally and precisely as possible):
when metrics is enable and we don't have internet connection the rit commands take a very long time to run. This is a really bad because on the script to install rit some rit commands are added to the .bashrc so after installing rit is very slow to open the terminal without a internet connection.
