PHP Mode depends on Emacs' built-in major mode framework called Cc Mode, so you must recompile whenever you upgrade Emacs. Our recommended upgrade path is to run the If your Emacs 29 was running the old PHP Mode before the update, don't worry. Just run the following command to install the latest version of PHP Mode.
If you have manually installed PHP Mode, just recompile the latest code. |

Emacs 29 RC1 has been released, so it seems that it will be valid for the official version soon.
We have released PHP Mode v1.25.0 which officially supports Emacs 29.
Please feel free to write about any troubles and bugs when updating to Emacs 29 in this discussion.
