There are various keybindings to update the inbox ((mu4e-update-mail-and-index RUN-IN-BACKGROUND) ) in mu4e, I usually use C-c C-u.
However when I use god-mode to trigger this function it instead executes (mu4e-search-query &optional EDIT) which is bound to c.

I can see that god-mode gets activated but it gets ignored.
I use god-mode in combination with evil mode.

Please let me know if I can provide any other information.

I'm not very familiar with mu4e.
I'll need more information about your configuration.

In theory however, if god-local-mode is active, then c should be bound to C-c.
This is what we observe in most major modes (like magit-status-mode) that bind keys without any modifiers.
