Should we add a auto comment on JIRA when there's a new offer?

This offer was placed for this issue yesterday.
The FS user did not add a comment to the JIRA issue.
Maybe because she doesn't have a JIRA account.
If that happens a lot, there's the possibility that the right developers won't get notified.

Should FS add an automatic comment on JIRA to trigger JIRA's notification emails?
Or is that too spammy?

yes, but I don't think it should be a comment - but more something beneath the current link, kind of a box with the current total
