Check the matrix version of:
emacs
lsp-mode
LanguageServer
julia-mode

Thanks for taking this up! The usual github workflow is described nicely here. I would suggest you create a feature branch in your fork with the changes you already made to master. You can then open a PR for that feature branch against the master branch of this repository.
