I reproduced the range widget with step =0.1. and the issue occurs also in v2024.2.4. I tried also v2023.2.0 and the issue occurs.
If in range widget step = 0.5, it works as expected.

Thanks @dbemke! Looks like it's a floating point precision issue. We should fix it but it doesn't feel urgent.
