Overview

In order to help get funding and attract new volunteers, we will be creating a video asset that highlights the Food Oasis project and the people who got it off the ground. We have a director, cameraman/editor, and the necessary equipment.

Action Items

  • Contacts and discussion of project:

    • Jenny
    • David
    • Food Pantry/Hot Meals Representative (someone familiar to the Food Oasis team/project)
    • Someone from the city or 211 Representative?
  • Lock Locations

    • Is there a Hack For LA location where we can shoot interviews? Or do we want to highlight that volunteers have been working on this project from home by shooting there?
    • Food Pantry/Hot Meals - ideally can get shots inside and exterior
  • Scheduling the following:

    • Jenny Interview
    • David Interview
    • Food Pantry/Hot Meals B-roll
  • Digital Assets/Needs

    • Technical limitations and recommendations from grant submission team (e.g. video length, file size, etc.)
    • Music (license-free)
    • Hack For LA logo
    • Code For America logo
    • Text blurb for end of video:
      • Donors: (e.g. "We're seeking to raise funds to ensure Food Oasis will remain an up-to-date resource for the more than XX food-insecure citizens it serves')
      • Volunteers: (e.g. "To hear about other ways Hack for LA is helping your community and how you can get involved, go to hackforla.org")

Sent this in Slack to Olivia, Kate and Mike
Hi Olivia and Katie, Mike wants to contact Jenny for some video footage for the video we are making for Food Oasis. But I don’t want it to keep her from turning over all the material we need. How do you think we should handle this?
