hello and thanks for sharing your experience @alfredo87. FreeBSD has support for many touchpads, so I hope we can get yours working. Possibly you are affected by helloSystem/ISO#120. Is your touchpad an I2C device? How is it detected on Linux? As for wireless networking, I agree that FreeBSD should get proper Intel wireless support, but this is clearly out of the scope of the helloSystem project. There is an inexpensive workaround using a USB dongle: Possibly we should put a dialog into the Wireless Networks preferences application that recommends the Realtek RTL8188CUS USB dongle if no supported wireless devices are found. |
Exactly my setup, so there's something deeper in there. |

Booted from ISO helloSystem build: 0E27 for commit: de9b15f
WiFi no driver in free BSD
I am amazed that FreeBSD has no drivers for Intel WiFi and Synaptic touchpad!
helloSystem is an incredible effort to achieve what I have been trying with Linux and BSD fora long time.
WiFi and Synaptic touchpad drivers /modules for freeBSD needed.
