These packages provide great functionality for track data and movement prediction. {pathroutr} should support use of these formats without extensive (or any) work from the user. Probably best to create a pre-processor function and a series of methods.

I'm in the process of applying the pathroutr functions to foieGras model outputs. Happy to help if I can.
