Expected behaviour

libsensors should be in there to show CPU temp.

Actual behaviour

There is no libsensors to show CPU temp. Only Udisks2 and Nvidia.

Steps to reproduce the behaviour

Add Hardware Sensors Monitor to a panel

MATE general version

MATE 1.20.4

Package version

1.20.2

Linux Distribution

Antergos 64 bit 4.20.12-arch1-1-ARCH mate-desktop/mate-applets#1 SMP PREEMPT

Your distro needs to rebuild mate-sensors if they have replaced libsensors 4 with libsensors 5. Otherwise this is exactly the expected behavior as a build against libsensors 4 cannot use libsensors 5: the applet will load into the panel OK, but there you won't get anything from libsensors in the applet.

I ran into this when Debian Unstable first shipped libsensors 5 and I pulled out libsensors 4.

so can i link libsensors 5 to libsensors 4? or remove libsensors 5 and replace with 4?
i didn't really know how to rebuild.

I am using fedora and i have no idea how to rebuild a package for archlinux.

Link to downstream report of your Distribution

You ignored our template!
Why not filing out a report at archlinux to inform your distro maintainer that a rebuild is needed?
And asking your distro maintainer for instructions?

i'm sorry. this is my first post on github and i don't understand with that "downstream report"

"downstream report" means a bug report filed against the package with the distro's bug report system. That is important because some bugs (this one almost surely for instance) come from distro mistakes such as not rebuilding a package after underlying dependencies change and break it.
