Feature Request: Allow Transactions in the Future

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
Usually my banks schedules transactions made on a weekend or holiday to be done the next business day. Currently I can't specify that date, since the date picker only allows entering up to the current date

Allow choosing of dates in the future in the datepicker

Describe alternatives you've considered
Waiting till they are actually booked: Not really feasible for me since it hinders financial planning

@thelooter this is definitely something we'll be adding in at some point.

I'm thinking it may be a bit early right now since we don't have any financial planning / forward-looking features in the app yet. We could certainly allow the input of a future transaction right now, but it wouldn't be incorporated into any of the graphs yet.

What specific features are you looking for that would utilize future transactions? Would you expect a "forecasted" balance to show in the account graph?

My idea was to have the complete history in the the graph and the a vertical line with a marker at the current date. Of course this wouldn't include any scheduled transactions like subscriptions or insurances, but any transaction that the bank reports but hasn't yet fully processed since its in the future

Got it. Yes, that, along with those "scheduled" (recurring) transactions will all be included in the graph / UI once we nail down the "core" transaction flows.

But yeah for now just allowing to put in the future time would certainly help

I couldn't agree more about this feature. Often, when you're managing your personal finances, you need to plan your income and expenses at least until the end of the tax year to account for regular transactions like rent, utilities, daily expenses, taxes, and salary.
