Artificial neural networks (ANNs) are machine learning models inspired by biological neural networks in animal brains. ANNs consist of artificial neurons that are connected and transmit signals to each other. The connections have weights that change as the network learns. The neurons are organized in layers that transform inputs into outputs. Deep neural networks have multiple hidden layers between the input and output layers.
