Or, remove lists altogether :) Personally I stopped using them years ago. Everything in the world can be put in a list, so it doesn't make much sense. They were meant for bullet points and table of contents anyway. Some say they help provide semantic structure to the visually impaired and stuff, but that's what we got microdata for.
