Syncthing used 10% battery in 10hours time of background usage (No folders added) #2086

I just installed syncthing and left it as is without adding any folders. (Added some empty folders and then removed all). Changed run conditions to always(on battery and changing, on all networks). In 10hours it consumed 10% battery use. I don't think this is expected behavior and battery usage.

Expected behavior: I should have seen no battery usage at all since I had no folders to sync.

Device: Pixel 8(shiba)
OS: A14
No-GMS

There is a default folder pointed at your Camera picture dir. wouldn't be surprising that hashing all your pics uses some battery.

@imsodin why is it so? There's no indication of that in the app anywhere

There is a default folder pointed at your Camera picture dir. wouldn't be surprising that hashing all your pics uses some battery.

I didn't even give storage access to the app. So it is unlikely it used battery while hashing.
