Not possible to use reportportal report plugin with custom results

The combination of report: how: reportportal and results: custom doesn't work as expected.
The start-time of custom results is not set and most likely gets auto-generated when importing to ReportPortal. That causes the end-time of run is lower than start-time. And ReportPortal errors for such results:

Received non-ok status code 406 from ReportPortal: {"errorCode":40025,"message":"Start time of child ['Mon Nov 11 09:38:45 UTC 2024'] item should be same or later than start time ['2024-11-11T10:37:57.558'] of the parent item/launch '988'"}

ReportPortal then shows the run but with no results and indicating the run is still in progress (however it isn't).
