Since waveform modeling for small events, particularly in volcanic regions, can be difficult would it be possible to introduce amplitude ratios (P/SV and P/SH) for 1D models into the estimation in addition to just the polarities?

Thanks for the feature request, this sounds useful.
Not having any experience using amplitude ratios for moment tensor estimation, I don't have a good sense what is involved.
Possibly related to this though, Pn/Sn, Pg/Lg and other amplitude ratios have been used for explosion monitoring. There tends to be some complexity I think involving multiple passbands or empirical amplitude corrections.
Will keep watching in case someone with greater experience might be able to provide a better response...
