Similar issue -- worked for a bit, and then stopped switching. Might have been when I started controlling through iTunes remote.

Sonoma working for me so far....but with the other non-english report, is it possible this is system language related?

is it possible this is system language related

Very possible actually. The log messages could have been in another language which meant that detection via keywords would fail.

Same issue, I found this error around getAllStats: The specified URL did not refer to a valid log archive.

MacOS: 14.1 (23B74), language: Chinese

I'll keep this open as I think it's a genuine issue that should be dealt with eventually.

It works better when I set the Apple Music's lanuage as English while my system remains in Chinese. However, there are chances that the sample rate isn't correct. Besides, in the first two seconds of each song, I hear a ‘crackling’ electrical noise (music interruption). Why don’t I hear this sound when automatically switching sample rates in apps like Tonal and Audirvana?
