Symbols

It is hard to find a comprehensive symbol set of high quality and consistency, many are low resolution with bad colours and no transparency on the background. This is a list of sources of creative commons licensed symbols, preferably we want svg or png graphics as these support translucency, high colour depth and svg is scaleable.
