Nowadays several tool exist that translates localization files for websites and apps.
Check if the results are good and use one of them to generate our files.

Delete everything related to localization contributions.

Can we scrap the feature instead?

It sounds like a cool gimmick, but the fact that it was allowed to stay broken for such a long time clearly demonstrates a lack of interest from colegists. Of course, we still need the English translation for foreign guests, but that can be handled by developers, no need to keep around a homegrown system for getting non-technical people involved.

Of course no one will stop you if you're personally passionate about this :). But when it's an open question how current sysadmins/collegists will distribute tasks related to Urán among themselves, I don't think we can afford to spend time working on this too.
