There is no precedent for building a Holochain-based social media app. As such, there are also nothing to look to in terms of financial models. Of course, lessons can be learned from traditional platforms, but we are interested in leaning into novel models and building this in a more cooperativist way.

In the second release of MewsFeed, we plan to integrate the Nom protocol into MewsFeed. Nom allows publishers to sell unique names within their applications and users to buy local or global names. We're still discussing what the benefits will be when a user buys a unique name for use inside MewsFeed, but options include:

• search results for their handle uniquely resolve to their profile
• their profile gains a badge identifying them as a supporter of MewsFeed
