Transcoding audio files

By default, this function transcodes albums to a single dedicated output folder.

The original files and folders are not modified
Each album is put in its own folder in the output directory
Metadata is kept. A thumbnail image is generated from the first track in the batch

The intended purpose is for easy compression and copying of music to a PMP/DAP or Android smartphone.

How to:

Set codec and bitrate settings in MENU > Settings... > Transcode
- OPUS provides the best sound quality / size ratio, but not many players are compatible with it.
  
  Tip: Enabling the 'write as .ogg extension' setting will improve compatibility on Android
- OGG and MP3 are more widely compatible.
- The FLAC option should only be used to convert from other lossless audio files. Note that the generated picture will still be a lossy thumbnail, so you should delete it manually copy any original image to maintain quality.
Right click a track and select, Transcode Folder to transcode all the tracks in the folder/block to which the track resides. Wait for it to finish.

Hint: It doesn't matter which track of an album you click, it will still transcode the whole album/block.

Troubleshooting: If the progress bar in the top panel does not change for an extended amount of time, the transcode may have stalled. In this case you will need to restart the application.

To see the resulting folders in your file manager. Press F9. You can then copy these folders to your device using your file manager.

You can have the source tracks deleted and replaced by new output tracks by enabling the setting Transcode files inplace
You can transcode single tracks by right clicking a track and holding shift and selecting Transcode Single
