Subset Improvements:

  • Upgraded to NetCDF 4.2 libraries
  • Manually set a bounding box on subset panel
  • Works with FMRC datasets
  • Various bug fixes / optimizations
  • Manually set the output path for data
  • Looks for higher res coastline in data folder for use on subset map

SOS Improvements:

  • Better integrated within EDC (not patched in)
  • GUI improved (now map based)
  • No longer NDBC specific… should read any SOS server
  • Ability to choose output type (RAW or post-processed)
  • Improved logic to determine if there is actual data for the requested sensors, variables, and time range

Note: EDC follows the SOS specification and allows for multiple variables (observedProperty) to be used in a GetCapabilities request. NDBC and CO-OPS both don’t allow this and have no immediate plans to fix this.
