Toronto Ruby Webpacker Workshop

Required Tools

• Ruby 2.2.2+
• NodeJS (v6.11.1+ Recommended)
• Yarn (0.27.5+ Recommended)

Target Activities

1. Serve up some JS using webpack
2. Serve up some CSS using webpack
3. Convert your CSS to using SASS or PostCSS
4. Integrate a component like Lodash and make use of it
5. Write some ES2015+ and see how it gets transformed

Optional Advanced Activities

• Configure and serve up source maps
• Compare the output of development and production environments
• Use a more advanced library like React, TypeScript, Angular, etc.
• Write a unit test using a test framework like Jest, Jasmine, etc.
• Do sometthing cool and show it off!
