This repo is a friendly clone of Uber's original https://github.com/uber-web/kepler.gl-data repository. The main reason that clone was created is that kepler.gl has otherwise been donated to the OpenJS foundation, and the kepler.gl maintainers no longer have write and admin access to the Uber repo.

The dataset contains two hours of flight data collected using the live API of OpenSky Network. The color of the flights is based on country of origin. 18 thousands flights are recorded during the two hour period. The path drops over the seas due to lack of satellite coverage. Airline info is added to each flight by joining with data from airlinecodes.co.uk
