In need of contributors #1834
Comments
Hi. I’m looking for a new challenge so would love to get involved. |
Hello @ethomson , which further actions are now necessary? |
Hi |
Hello there, we're using libgit2sharp in my company (https://github.com/ubisoft) and we could get involved too. |
Hi, I'm one of the developers of the fork https://github.com/mendix/libgit2sharp . It was my decision to fork the project for the company's needs, and now I would like to give something back to the community. I can't do that on behalf of my company so I would like to offer my personal resources to maintain LibGit2Sharp. I've never done such a thing before and I'm afraid I won't be able to dedicate a lot of time, but at least I would be able to contribute back whatever we do in our fork. |
Hi, What next steps would assist in allowing us to help maintain this libgit2sharp in a way that could be most productive? Myself and others are happy to continue to donate our time if nothing else. It sounds like there is a few other voices in the community who feel likewise. |
@bording @ethomson Has there been any progress made on this? The project is currently in a limbo state which is sad to see, not only because it is a very important package to the C# ecosystem, but also because there are a lot of people / organizations who do want to contribute and help with maintenance. |
I would appreciate being part of this. |
LibGit2Sharp is currently in need of contributors and maintenance. The project was conceived a decade ago by @nulltoken, who led it fearlessly for many years. After that, there was no single individual maintainer of the project, but instead had a committee of a few part-time maintainers. At this point, development and maintenance stalled.
The project needs core contributors and maintainers to take it to the next level and guide it into the future.
