XSnapCourier Wiki

While installation is covered in the readme file, the Wiki will go over the basics of how to interact with the application itself.

The application has the following general workflow: Workflow

Once the volumes have been learned from XtremIO, there are two important settings for each:

  • Snappable - This determines whether or not the application should consider a volume for snapshots
  • Stats Enabled - This determines whether or not we collect stats for the volume every hour

Once a volume is defined as eligible for snapshots, whenever the snapshot processor runs it will check to see if existing snapshots exist. If none exists, it will create a snapshot and future runs follow the above flow chart.
