Literally yesterday I've ordered a sample pack of Provigil / Modafinil

Some 'top of my head' suggestions

1) Taking smart drugs (nootropics)

2) Better air quality / increased oxygen levels

"Air conditioning" doesn't mean "air cooling" or "air heating" but conditioning as in enhancing. And yet - very little is known about long term effects of tuning in the oxygen levels.

3) Nap taking (as opposed to caffeine fix)

Instead of constant supply of stimulants to keep awake a short nap would be much more beneficial. Currently there are very few places allowing you to lie down and fall asleep without causing drama. (using disabled toiled when I was under polyphasic sleep regime)

4) Optimised vegan diet

It provides clarity for body and mind. During #cccamp15 I was volunteering and had access to the vegan kitchen - go vegan! - I've never felt better in my life. Delicious food and energy absorbed by body rather than wasted on digestion... Way to go!

5) Nature: plants, waterfall, stream of water

Plants produce oxygen (see 2). Sounds of nature create a nice alternative to a chatter. I'm pretty sure it's a common practice among companies who appreciate their personnel. It's so easy and cheap to implement!

Somehow related: incentives of employer and employee should be aligned.

In my career I've observed situations where:

  • Employer: maximise profit
  • Manager: keep the job
  • Employee: learn useful skill and move on

(no alignment, no common vision, selling time to get a paycheck)
