Monster Details

Description of the monster.

AC: Armor Class.

HD: Hit Dice.

  • A monster's level is essentially 10+HD. Since a monster's stats are usually derived from its HD, this means that a 4 HD monster usually has 14 STR, 14 WIS, 14 CHA, etc.
  • Roll this number of d8s to determine each individual’s hit points.
  • The average hit point value is listed in parentheses. You may use this instead of rolling HD.

Att: Attacks per round.

MV: Base movement rate with encounter movement rate in parentheses.

ML: Morale rating.

Special attacks and other information is listed in bullet points under the monster.

10’ cubes of jelly. Absorb debris and living creatures.

AC 8, HD 4 (18hp), Att 1×touch (2d4 + paralysis), MV 60’ (20’), ML 12

  • Surprise: On a roll of 1-4, due to near-invisibility.
  • Paralysis: For 2d4 turns (save vs Dexterity.)
  • Energy immunity: Unharmed by cold or lightning.
  • Embedded items: Indigestible items (e.g. gems, coins) are carried inside the cube.
